Iowa State announced its 2021-2022 women's Golf Schedule on Tuesday, with an increased fall schedule compared to a COVID-19 compacted season last year.
Here's a breakdown of the schedule:
Sept 13-14 The Wolverine Invitational
This is the first year time the Cyclones head to this event. In 2018, Michigan hosted the East and West match play tournament. Iowa State finished 2nd as team at the event.
Sept 26-27 Schooner Fall Classic
The Cyclones finished 9th as a team last season at the event in Norman, Oklahoma. Taglao Jeeravivitaporn shot well, finishing 27th overall as an individual.
Oct 4-5 Windy City Collegiate
Iowa State finished in 10th place out of the 15 teams at that meet in 2019. Last season was the first time since 2015 that the Cyclones didn't participate in the tournament.
Oct 15-17 Stanford Intercolligate
The fall portion of the season wraps up at the Stanford Intercollegiate, an event the Cyclones struggled in the last time they attended. In 2019, the Cyclones finished near dead last in 14th place out of seventeen teams.
Feb 6-8 UCF Challenge
In the 2020 season, the Cyclones finished in the top 10 in 9th place out of seventeen teams in the meet. Liyana Durisic tied for 12th in the medalist race.
Feb 13-14 Moon Golf Columbia Classic
This the first time that the women's golf team will be going to the Moon Golf Columbia Classic in Melbourne, Florida.
Feb 28-March 1 Gun Rock
This will also be the Cyclones' first time going to the Gun Rock Golf Meet in Sacramento, California.
March 18-20 Mountain View Collegiate
The Iowa State golf team will stay out West and compete in the Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Arizona. Durisic T9th overall and Taglao Jeeravivitaporn T13th overall in the meet in last season.
April 4-6 Silverado Showdown
Iowa State tied for 7th out of seventeen teams in this meet that was hosted by the Oregon Ducks last year.
April 11-12 The Bruzzy
Both Durisic placed T18th and Taglao Jeeravivitaporn placed T29th last year at the event.
April 22-24 Big 12 Championship.
The Big 12 championship will be held in Hockley, Texas, this season. Iowa State finished in eighth place of nine Big 12 teams in 2020.
May 9th NCAA Regionals
The Cyclones got 14th place in last year's regionals.
