Clement: Ghost candidate

As right-wing pundits continue to make unfounded claims of voter fraud against the Democrats, a new pattern of election rigging has sprung up in Florida — ghost candidates. This does not mean that dead people are appearing on the ballots, but rather that some Republican officials in the state have been found to be bribing random people to enter the race as Democrats but not actually run. This means that on voting day, less engaged Democratic voters may vote for the faux candidate and split the Democratic vote, meaning that the Republican candidate is much more likely to win. Let this tale of terror be a lesson to you this spooky season; always research the candidates before you cast your ballot.
