Bernie Sanders walks up to the podium with co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s, Ben Cohen. Cohen made a statement before Sanders came up to the stage in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union. “He has a vision and it’s pretty simple, what would our country be like if it was actually working for the benefit of regular people instead of corporations,” said Cohen. Cohen has been a constituent of Sanders for 40 years. Sanders visited Ames on May 4 to talk about his campaign for presidency and his slogan “Not me. Us.” He will also stop by Perry, Fort Dodge and Sioux City.
