The ISU women’s cross-country team’s season ended Saturday with a 24th-place performance on cross-country’s biggest stage.
Perez Rotich led the Cyclones with a 42nd-place finish at the NCAA Championship, which took place at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.
The NCAA Championship marked the fifth straight meet Rotich has led Iowa State in scoring. The redshirt junior provided 28 points to the team’s scoring effort.
Redshirt sophomore Erin Hooker finished as Iowa State’s second runner and 151st overall, chipping in 116 points for the Cyclones.
Andrea Toppin, Kate DeSimone and Abby Caldwell finished as the team’s three, four and five runners. The trio of ISU runners finished 182nd, 186th and 193rd, respectively.
Evelyne Guay and Maryn Lowry were the last to finish for the Cyclones at the meet, finishing 206th and 241st, respectively.
