Iowa State and West Virginia faced off in a Big 12 Conference showdown on Saturday, which Iowa State won 3-1.

With the win, Iowa State's record is 13-13 overall and 6-7 in the Big 12.

Earlier this season, Iowa State beat West Virginia 3-1 in Morgantown, West Virginia.

After serving a two game suspension, Iowa State middle blocker Grace Lazard returned to the lineup.

In the two games she was out, Iowa State lost to TCU and Baylor.

Lazard finished the game with 14 kills, a .229 hitting percentage, four block assists and two solo blocks.

Jess Schaben notched a double-double with 22 kills and 18 digs. She led all players in both categories.

Iowa State took the first set 25-20.

Iowa State had a .357 hitting percentage and West Virginia had a .333 hitting percentage in the first set.

After the first set, Schaben led all players with seven kills, while also having a hitting percentage of .375.

Iowa State's serve kept pressure on West Virginia throughout the first set as Iowa State forced four receiving errors.

West Virginia then took the second set 25-23.

In the set, Iowa State recorded four blocks and had a .116 hitting percentage, while West Virginia recorded two blocks and had a .109 hitting percentage.

The Cyclones took a 2-1 lead in the third by winning the set 25-22.

In the third, Iowa State held Baylor to a .068 hitting percentage while the Cyclones hit .190.

West Virginia had four blocks on the set, and Iowa State had one. Iowa State took the fourth set 25-15.

Looking ahead, Iowa State's next game will be next Wednesday at Oklahoma.
