The first of three days of the 2018 Hawkeye Invitational hosted by the University of Iowa proved to be a tough outing for the Cyclone divers.
Redshirt juniors Dana Liva and Alex Aaberg, alongside freshman Jessica Coffin, fell short of the top eight threshold in the Women’s 1M Championship dive to make the finals tonight.
The Cyclones squared off against tough competition including the likes of the University of Iowa, University of Minnesota, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and many more.
Liva came 11th with a score of 257.90 while Aaberg finished 33rd with a score of 201.10 and finally, Coffin finished 47th with a score of 150.47.
Despite having a rough day one, the Cyclones plan to bounce back tomorrow at the 3M dive at day two of the Hawkeye Invitational.
