Black Iowa State helmet sits on the field before the start of the Iowa State vs West Virginia football game.

The Cyclones sport a lot of talent in their secondary, with a few underclassmen cornerbacks earning playing time last season.

But Iowa State lost starters D'Andre Payne and Brian Peavy to graduation.

With a young unit, Matt Campbell and company added some experience to the group with graduate transfer Justin Bickham from Rice.

Bickham played three seasons at Rice and made an immediate impact for the Owls, playing in eight games as a freshman.

In his three seasons at Rice, Bickham compiled an interception, a forced fumble and 70 total tackles.

The senior also adds solid size, measuring in at 6-foot-1 and 196-pounds.
