The 2018 Winter Olympic Games kicked off a week ago with the opening ceremonies.

Since then, all of the events have been in action and Olympians from all around the world have won medals to represent their country.

Check out the top five moments from the first week:

1. Snowboarder Shaun White wins his first gold medal in eight years.

Just a few months ago, USA's Shaun White was in the hospital after an accident. Just a few days ago, he won his first gold medal since the 2010 Winter Olympics at the age of 31.

2. 17-year-old snowboarder Chloe Kim wins big on the halfpipe.

USA's Chloe Kim is officially the youngest woman to win a snowboarding medal at the Winter Olympics. Kim won the gold medal on the halfpipe on Monday.

3. USA's Mikaela Shiffrin wins gold after multiple weather delays.

The multiple weather delays didn't stop alpine skier and USA Olympian Mikeala Shiffirn from winning gold in the women's giant slalom and still has a few more chances to win big.

4. Germany's Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot earn the highest score ever in pairs free skate.

It may have taken Aliona Savchenko five Olympic appearances to finally win the gold, but she did it with the help go her partner Bruno Mason on Wednesday.

5. There has been a lot of talk around figure skater Adam Rippon and his interactions with Vice President Mike Pence and Donald Trump Jr.

Adam Rippon, who is the first openly gay male to represent the USA at the Winter Olympics, had an interaction with Mike Pence in January ahead of the games. Donald Trump Jr. then got in on the situation in an effort to back up Pence.
