The fierce weather that has rocked Ames for the past week temporarily subsided over last weekend, giving the city a chance to repair and take stock. The city was able bring power to most of Ames by Friday night and to clear streets by Saturday afternoon. Workers did not have to deal with major damage to structures and roads. (0) comments
Teams from 16 different middle schools throughout the state visited Howe and Hoover Halls this weekend. A hydrogen fuel cell car race was held in Howe on Friday afternoon, and an academic competition was held throughout both halls all day Saturday.
