* The “I blinked and missed it” film series continues with a showing of the “Straight Story.” The movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in the Pioneer Room of the Memorial Union. Admission is free.

Friday, June 23

* A career advancement workshop is being held in Room 167 of the Scheman Building. Two workshops will be held. The first runs from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the second from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A discount is available for students who are interested in attending. * A reception is being held at 2:30 p.m. for Dennis Olson. Olson is leaving his position as director of the Utilization Center for Agricultural Products and the NASA Food Technology Commercial Space Center. He will become the vice president at Titan Surebeam. The reception will be held until 4:30 p.m. at the North Atrium in Kildee Hall.

* A retirement reception is being held for Russ Wilson of the ISU Foundation. Wilson worked for the ISU Foundation for 11 years. The reception begins at 4 p.m. in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

Saturday, June 24

* A tie-dye workshop is being held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the workspace of the Memorial Union. The workshop is $20 for ISU students and $25 for non-students. Advanced registration preferred. To enroll or for more information, send an e-mail to [email protected] or call 294-0971.
