LETTER: Moving Veishea date up two weeks leaves weather too cold

Published: Friday, April 11, 2008 2:00 AM CDT
Was moving the Veishea celebration up two weeks really worth it? Two weeks in April can make the difference between snow and 65-degree weather.

Unfortunately for Iowa State, we are getting snow and 40-degree highs to celebrate Veishea! And my understanding is that the celebration is moving up to the end of March next year. If this year is any indication, there will be three inches of snow on the ground.

Please move the Veishea celebration back to the end of April. If the Veishea committee can't sell wristbands now, wait until the concerts are taking place in 30-degree weather.
