The Iowa State men's cross-country team finished in 16th place at the NCAA Nationals meet in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday. 

Thomas Pollard led the way for the Cyclones, finishing 45th overall with a time of 30:30.6. Pollard was the third freshman in the entire nationals field to finish.

Senior transfer Kevyn Hoyos was close behind with a time of 30:35.2 to finish in 58th place.

The 16th place finish is the best result for the men since 1997.
